We are currently recruiting for next year’s Energise Cambridge committee!
Who do we need?
We are looking for motivated students who are passionate about pushing for the University to have a world-leading Environmental Policy and ensuring that it actually walks the walk. Energise strives to bring together those in student green societies and beyond to present a unified student vision of how the University should relate to environmental sustainability matters. We need a President and a Policy Officer, both with the capabilities to coordinate and communicate this overall vision to the University. We are looking to recruit Policy Area Champions who have a passion for a particular area and who want to focus on developing radical but workable solutions, particularly in the areas of carbon reduction and integrating sustainability into teaching and research.
For this vision to have weight, broad student support is crucial. Therefore, we also need a Campaigns and Student Engagement Officer who will Energise the student population on environmental issues. A core component of this is likely to involve action related to the international climate change talks in Paris later this year.
